Brownwood Regional Medical Center invites the public to their annual Health Expo on Thursday, April 21 from 6 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Brownwood Coliseum.
Starting at 6 a.m., organizers encourage those interested to come to the Health Expo before work for free health screenings including total cholesterol, pulse oxygen level, grip strength, blood pressure/heart rate, body fat composition, reflex check, hearing screening, vision screening, weight check, spinal screening and custom foot orthodics. These screenings start early so that everyone can attend, no matter what their work schedule may be.Those attending can meet with physician office representatives, join Senior Circle (for those ages 50 & better), drive the pedal car with fatal vision goggles and win door prizes. Special door prizes will be given away between 6 and 9 a.m.
There will be over 60 booths representing hospital services, safety/health related area businesses and organizations. The event provides a wealth of health information that is all available for free. Organizers explain that attending the Health Expo is a great way to receive free health and wellness screenings to determine the key to great health.
So mark your calendar for April 21st and set your alarm to attend the Health Expo starting at 6 a.m.
Cholesterol checks can be done in just 5 minutes and 6 stations will be available. Fasting before the finger stick blood draw is preferred for the most accurate reading but not required.
