Brittany Dawn Grove age 24, was born in Odessa on April 3, 1992. Brittany went home to be with our Lord on April 18, 2016 in Coleman County. As many of you know Brittany was the type of individual to brighten a room with her shinning smile and beautiful personality. There wasn’t a single uncompassionate bone in Brittany’s body and this could be seen through her caring actions when she shined her vibrant personality through the children and animals that she interacted with. Obsession would be an understatement when describing the type of love and affection Brittany showed her family and friends when they leaned on in our time of need. Although she is no longer with us, we are all aware that if there is anyone watching over us and looking after us in our times of hardship, that person is Brittany.
Brittany loved everyone with an open heart at all times. She recently became a resident of Voss in Coleman County where she resided with her mother. Brittany was a graduate of Early High School in 2011, while in high school she was part of the Early High Color Guard as well as the Early High Choir. After graduation she received her associate degree as a dental assistant. Brittany was a woman who found a lot of passion in fashion and retail. She was one who loved vibrant colors and styles.Brittany is survived by her immediate family: mother Regina Smith of Voss, her father Jeff Grove and step-mother Wendy Grove of May, a sister Amanda Grove of Houston and a step-brother Cody Lancaster of Lufkin. Brittany is also survived by her Grandmother Cheryl Emmons of Odessa, her Uncle and Aunt Brandon and Linda McGuire of Abilene, aunt Amy Shirley of Odessa and aunt Kristen Gray of Seminole. She is also survived by cousins Kylie, Kaitlyn, and Kaedon McGuire of Abilene, Courtney and Kelsey Shirley of Odessa and Hayden, Austin, and Avery Gray of Seminole.
Brittany was preceded in death by her grandfather Nonnie Smith and grandmother Patsy Smith and her grandfather James Grove. Brittany was loved by all who met her and will be dearly missed.
There will be a Celebration of her short, but glorious life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church in Brownwood.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Cooks Children’s Foundation in memory of our sweet Brittany Grove.
Brittany had lived by the scripture: I can do all this through Christ whom strengthens me, Philippians 4:13.
This is not Goodbye, but see you soon our happy, beautiful girl.
