Friends and family are hosting a brisket sandwich fundraiser on Saturday at 10:00 AM to support Madeline Reigle who has been selected as a member of the Olympic Development Soccer Team (ODP) for South Texas.  Reigle will be the GK for the team at the ODP Tournament held in Alabama this July.

The fundraiser will be held at Carroll Fire & Safety located at 111 Main Street from 10:00 AM until sold out.  Meals will consist of the choice of a brisket sandwich, chips and a drink for $5.00 or a brisket plate with potato salad, beans and a drink for $8.00.

To pre-order or request delivery, call Iris at 325-203-0420.  Delivery is available for orders of 5 or more.

Madeline has been playing soccer since she was 4-year-old as a goal keeper in Cen-Tex Soccer, with Brownwood High School, and in select soccer league.  She was named Academic All-District in soccer 2011-2012, is in the national Honor Society (all while driving to Austin on Tues and Thur. for practice, maintaining her GPA).

She decided to stop playing on the high school level to focus on select and the ODP this year, which was a very difficult decision, according to her family.

Being selected to the Olympic Development Soccer Program for South Texas, Reigle will be playing with her team in the upcoming US Youth Soccer Region III Tournament in July 6-10 at the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama. The fundraiser will help her family cover travel expenses for this trip, which is a great opportunity to help advance her soccer career.

“The goal of the ODP program is to identify and select the best group of young soccer players ever assembled to represent South Texas at the upcoming US Youth Soccer Region III scheduled events.  The ODP tryouts offer players the opportunity to showcase their talent in a unique environment that is designed to allow the top players show their talent with opportunity to be exposed to regional, national and college coaches.

If Reigle performs well in Alabama she will have the opportunity to play in Europe or Central America.
