Brian M.Phelps, 54, of Tampa, passed away January 21, 2012. He was born August 8, 1957, in Washington, D.C.
He is preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Lee Phelps and survived by his wife, Mary Kay Phelps; children, Megan M. Phelps, Abigail M. Phelps and Brian E. Phelps; mother, Kathleen A. Phelps; brothers, Craig L. Phelps, Erin J. Phelps and Keith McCarthy Phelps; sister, Mary Michelle Gleason; and numerous nieces and nephews. He had tremendous faith and infinite love for all.
He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife and children vacationing, golfing, attending school activities and athletic events. Brian was always fond of dining out with friends and family. All were welcomed at the Phelps home, where he enjoyed hosting gatherings as well as cooking for others. Brian will be forever remembered as a benevolent man.
A memorial service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, at Florida Mortuary Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations be made at Chase Bank – Debra Pickering; fund in trust for Megan M. Phelps, Abigail M. Phelps, and Brian E.
