5:30pm Update: Brown County Sheriff Chief Deputy Bobby Duvall confirmed that the suspect in Sunday’s deadly shooting at the Peach House RV Park has been identified and is one of the dead.
The alleged shooter was identified by Duvall as 58-year-old Charles Ronald Conner of Early.
According to law enforcement, about 1:45pm there was a report of an altercation over a pair of dogs. Duvall said that the suspect complained to the victims that the dogs were defecating near his RV. Duvall said that the suspect allegedly became aggressive and shot the two dogs and then shot the husband and wife owners of the dogs and returned to his RV.
Early Police officer Steven Means was the first to arrive on scene according to Duvall. He reported that the suspect allegedly shot at Means and missed. Officer Means returned fire. Another resident in the RV park retrieved his gun and fired at the suspect as well, according to officials. Duvall stated that the suspect was shot by both the officer and the resident. The names of the victims have not been released pending notification of their next of kin.
Law enforcement officers are currently reconstructing the crime scene and expect to be clear of the scene around 7:00pm Sunday.
Additional details are expected to be released either later Sunday or on Monday.
3:30pm Update: Brown County Sheriff’s Office confirmed three people are deceased after a shooting at the Peach House RV Park on Hwy 183N.
BCSO Captain Tony Aaron was on scene and stated that all deaths were caused by gunshot wounds; however he would not confirm which of the deceased were possible victims or if the shooter was among the dead.
According to Aaron, the incident was allegedly occurred over a dispute and that there was a single shooter who is not at large. Aaron also stated that no law enforcement officers were injured during the incident.
The Texas Rangers are taking the lead in the investigation with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Brownwood Police, Early Police, Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens, and Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers who were all on scene Sunday afternoon according to Aaron.
Because the investigation is underway, limited information was available. The scene will be processed, witnesses will be interviewed and more information released later this evening according to Aaron.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible murder scene at this location. An unknown number of people were killed.
