Chief David Mercer of the Early Police Department released the following statement regarding the robbery of Jerry’s Burgers in Early, TX that occurred Thursday evening:
An armed robbery occurred at approximately 6:22pm. A subject pulled a gun on clerks and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. The suspect then fled the scene.
The clerk was able to get a description of a silver step-side pick-up, which was broadcast to all law enforcement agencies in the area and surrounding counties.
The suspect vehicle was located south of Mullin by Mills County officers. Two people have been detained at this time by Mills County Sheriff’s Office on charges of possession of Marijuana and for investigation of armed robbery according to Mercer.
Mercer confirmed that no shots were fired during the incident and no injuries were reported. More details will be released tomorrow.
