Press Release – Break Out Brownwood is entering its final month of operation, to celebrate and to coordinate with the annual Christmas Under the Stars Festival, they are running a special promotion. There will be Christmas ornaments hidden in their two escape room scenarios. Players who find them will get free Break Out Brownwood T-shirts.
If you haven’t already heard, Break Out Brownwood is an escape room game which takes place in the Brown County Museum of History. One of the scenarios has players “locked” into the old jail cells. They then must find clues and solve riddles in order to escape. In the other room the players are thieves trying to steal a treasure from a fictional museum exhibit and escape before being apprehended. Both scenarios are recommended for 3 to 6 players ages 13 and up, have a one hour time limit and cost $25 per person. There are discounts available for larger groups as well as school and youth groups.
When asked what kind of people enjoy escape rooms Lasha Dennis replied, “We’ve had couples on date nights, school groups who wanted to reward their students, birthday parties and families with their kids. Some of the most fun groups have been parents with their adult children. I think they enjoy being able to “pretend” with their kids like they did when the kids were little.”
The Dennis family of May created the escape rooms in order to teach their teenage children about how to start and run a small business. They also wanted to raise money for Museum of History as half of the proceeds go toward that organization. However, it is a short-term venture whose end is rapidly approaching. Break Out Brownwood’s final day of operation will be December 30th.
