Braunette Murray, age 84, of the Salt Creek Community died Sunday night at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Sam Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Tuesday.
She was born July 16, 1927 in Mt. Pleasant, Mississippi the daughter of the late William Thomas and Lambra Estell Kelley Ross. She was married to James Hall Murray on July 13, 1945 in Manhattan City of New York, New York. She was a devoted homemaker and wife and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Blanket.
She is survived by her children, Debbie and Ed Massey of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; Cindy and David Ferguson of Blanket, Texas; and Tim and Kim Murray of Early, Texas.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 63 years.
