wallerFuneral services for Bobby J. Waller, will be held at 10 a.m Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with military honors. Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Waller passed away Monday at the Hillview Manor Nursing facility in Goldthwaite, Texas.

He was born Nov.27, 1931, to Leslie and Irene Lampley Waller in Thompsonville, Ill. On Nov. 2, 1953, he was married to Phyllis Woodrow in Sherringhan, England. She preceded him in death Jan. 2, 2013. Bobby was a member of Northridge Baptist Church in Early. He was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks Lodge and the Disabled Veterans organization. Bobby served his country in the United States Army retiring, after 21 years of service. He served in Korea and Vietnam. He has lived in Brown County since 1963. Bobby loved to hunt and fish. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Bobby is survived by a son, Robert and wife, Valarie Waller of Brownwood; two daughters, Paula Smith of Brownwood, and Tracy Skeen of Phoenix, Ariz. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Bobby and wife Jessica Waller, James Florey and friend Liz, Mandy and husband Chad Walker, Zane Psyk, Zach and wife Jadie Waller, Meghan and husband Dakota Coffee; eight great-grandchildren; his brothers, Carol D, Waller of Thomasville, Ill. and Dwight Waller of Macadonia, Ill.

Bobby is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, his parents, and two brothers Wayne and Jerry Waller.
