Bobby Gene Coker, 73, of Watauga, formerly of Comanche, passed away at the North Pointe Nursing Rehab Home in Watagua.
Bob was born to Felton and Alma (Williams) Coker. He married Peggy Harwood November 12, 1955, in Delano, CA. Bob retired from WALCO in Bakersfield, CA and Stephenville, TX. After retiring, he worked for the Frank Brand dairy in Energy, TX. Bob enjoyed working with horses and cattle. He loved watching his baseball team, the Texas Rangers. He loved being “irritated” by his great-grandchildren and weekly dinners with Gail and Sandy, as well as making trips to the casino. Prior to his illness Bob was a perfectionist, whether it was his yard or house and especially his starched shirt and Wranglers. Dad will be greatly missed.
Bob is survived by daughter, Kerri Rosales and husband Juan of Watauga; son, Robert Coker and wife Elizabeth of Carlton; sister, Linda Townson of Bakersfield, CA; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife, Peggy, sister, Pat Dutton, and brother-in-law, Ken Townson.
