Graveside Service for Bobby Gene Cadenhead, age 77, of Bluff Dale, Texas, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015, at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, Texas with Doug Blount officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Bobby entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on December 9, 2015. He was born on May 9, 1938, in Brownwood, Texas to Truett and Gussie (Reynolds) Cadenhead.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean McCrary Cadenhead; his parents, Truett and Gussie Cadenhead of Brownwood; and his brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Pat Cadenhead of Rotan.Bobby is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Doug Blount; as well as granddaughter and her husband, Katie and Jimbob Brown; and grandson, Andrew Blount. He is also survived by his nephews, Jack Cadenhead Jr. and Michael Cadenhead, and their daughters and grandchildren; and his cousins.
Bobby retired from General Motors where he worked first at the Dallas Parts Division and then at the Fort Worth Parts Division. He enjoyed remodeling and construction work. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church, Dallas. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR races.
His family looks forward to the promised day of resurrection when they will see him again!
