Brownwood Middle School volleyball teams are “Diggin’ For DaLin,” a fundraising event during their games against Llano Junior high on Monday, October 15th at 5:00pm and 6:00pm at the Middle School gym.
DaLin Cummings, BMS Digital Media Specialist, was recently diagnosed with cancer, and in support of Cummings, the teams are selling t-shirts and donating all proceeds from their sale and concessions sales to DaLin to help with expenses related to treatment.
The Lady Cubs volleyball teams are supporting one of Brownwood’s own, as Cummings was a Brownwood High School Lady Lion volleyball player in the mid 1980s. DaLin is a 1986 BHS graduate and went to school K-12 in Brownwood.
Cummings also graduated from Howard Payne University in 1991 and did her student teaching at Woodland Heights. She started teaching at BHS in 2008 and moved to teaching at BMS just last year.
The public is invited to come out to the games and help the Lady Lions raise funds for their librarian DaLin Cummings on Monday, October 15th starting at 5:00pm.
