Brownwood News – The Brownwood Middle School Advanced Art class took a field trip to photograph scenes of downtown Brownwood back in September 2017. The students explored some of the more unfamiliar places, looking for interesting compositions along the side streets and alleys.

Later in the year the students used the photographs as starting points for other artwork. The students’ work has been placed on display, and the show includes works from a Photoshop lesson where selected photos were treated with effects and filters in the program.

Also on display are scenes the students painted from other photographs they took downtown.  The art show is currently on display at Citizens National Bank and will remain open through Friday, April 27.

Pictured are some of the BMS advanced art students’ paintings and Photoshop projects that are on display in the Citizens National Bank lobby.
