Brownwood Art Association will present its First Thursday event featuring artist Tonya Bloomer on July 3rd at the Art Center in Brownwood.
Bloomer is a Howard Payne University social work student, who will graduate in the fall.
Tonya’s love of art grew as a child and has been painting for as long as she can remember. She enjoys painting a mixture of subjects but her main passion is western art from landscapes to rodeo action. Tonya has had the opportunity to study at the art school in Ashland, OR where she picked up her love for watercolors and oils. This First Thursday event will display a mixture of her work in both mediums.
First Thursday includes a reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a chance for local residents to meet the featured artist and network with BAA members. Artists and exhibits on display are from both BAA members and guest artists.
