Brownwood News – Blaylock Funeral Homes of Brownwood and San Saba issued the following temporary policy on Wednesday, March 18.
Information Regarding Covid-19
After many prayers, discussion, and conferences with local and state officials, Blaylock Funeral Home
and Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba has come to the very difficult decision to change the way we
will conduct our business and funeral services for the short term in regards to the Covid-19.
This decision was not taken lightly, and we believe it is in the best interest of the families we serve, the community, the county, our families, and staff. While there have been no confirmed cases in Brown or San Saba county as of yet, we want to be proactive in providing the service and care for our families during this time.
The following changes will take effect on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, and can change at any time due to the ever-changing nature of this situation.
Office Hours:
• Our office hours will be by appointment only.
• We will continue to be available 24 hours a day for your emergency needs or any questions
Brownwood (325) 203-4027
San Saba (325) 372-5001
Funeral Service Changes:
• Starting Monday, March 23, 2020, only two service times will be offered Monday through Saturday,
those times will be 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
• Funeral Services will be for up to 10 immediate family members for at least the next 15 days.
• Visitations will not be offered.
• Register Books will be available to sign in the foyer of the Funeral Home. We will be glad to sign your
name in the register book if you call and do not want to leave home. Online Condolences on our website
(www.blaylockfuneralhome.com) or Facebook pages are always welcome and recommended in this
situation.
• Funeral Services can be broadcast with Facebook Live on our Facebook page per families permission
• After the Funeral Service with immediate family members, Memorials can be held at a later date for
extended family members and friends to attend, at no cost.
There are alternative options for families that can and will be discussed with families in private at their
time of need.
Please feel welcome to contact us with any questions, concerns, or comments you may have about the
decisions we have made.
Blaylock Funeral Homes will continue to act responsibly for as long as it takes. Our hope is to return to
business as usual as soon as possible. We are continuing to monitor the new guidelines issued in regard to COVID-19.
Again, this decision was very tough for us to make, we hope you understand.
