Blanket’s City Wide Brush & Limb Clean Up Day was a huge success according to City Secretary Rose Wigham.
The weather was beautiful and many residents brought their trucks, trailers, ATV four-wheelers, tools, and good old fashion labor to participate in cleaning up the town. Brush & limbs were cleared along the roadways of Avenue H and Main Street.
Mayor Judy Eoff and the Blanket Lion’s Club provided lunch for the volunteer workers.
“I overheard someone say, ‘makes me proud when I realize these are our future leaders,’” stated Wigham.
City officials wish to send special thanks to Blanket High School Ag Teacher/FFA Leader Justin Hopkins & the students of Blanket FFA.
