Blaine went to his eternal ranch in the sky to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, May 16, 2015.

Blaine F. Quirl was born to Arthur and Gracie Inez (Smith) Quirl on July 27, 1917 in Kilgore, Idaho. Blaine and his family moved to Zephyr, Texas in 1929. He attended school at Zephyr I.S.D. Blaine served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1941 to 1945. He then moved back to the Quirl home-place in Zephyr where he farmed and ranched. Blaine married, Ruby Williamson, in 1980. They enjoyed nearly 30 wonderful years together before her passing in April, 2009. Blaine was a rancher, cowboy, and protector of the land, but most of all, he was a real gentleman. He made a very generous and unselfish gift to the Zephyr I.S.D., donating a tract of his land for the new football field and track, which was named after him, Quirl Bulldog Field.  He also donated antique farm equipment to the Zephyr Historical Society. Blaine was a member of Zephyr Baptist Church.

He is also survived by numerous cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.
