GiftedProgAward091211Brownwood ISD gifted and talented teacher Nancy Anderson was recognized this week by the Texas Association of Gifted and Talented.  Anderson will be honored at the annual special development conference for educators and parents in Ft. Worth this year on November 30- December 2.

Her nomination form will be advanced to the state committee for consideration for the 2011 Outstanding Teacher of the Year.

Officials said that Anderson was selected for her outstanding service, contributions, and commitment to the gifted and talented education.

A letter from the association said, “Your devotion to training teachers and working with gifted and talented students is evident in the writing of those who submitted letters of recommendation on your behalf.”

Anderson is the gifted and talented teacher for all the elementary schools at BISD and has been a teacher in the district for over 20 years.
