Brownwood News – Congratulations to our February 2020 Spotlight teacher, Ms. Kaylee Klein. Ms. Klein is a first-year teacher, teaching 6th grade Science at Coggin Intermediate School (CIS). She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M in 2018 and is certified to teach Early Childhood (EC)-6th grade.

Ms. Klein is a teacher dedicated to the success of her students, and, during her time at CIS, they have been consistently high performers in the classroom. She brings a positive culture to the CIS team, and she has quickly become a cherished member of the CIS family.

Brownwood ISD is grateful to have devoted teachers like Ms. Klein, who’s passion and motivation continue to drive her students to success.

Brownwood ISD is proud to announce Ms. Maria Lara as our February 2020 Spotlight staff member. Ms. Lara is employed by All Aboard and serves as the BISD Transportation Director. She grew up in Brownwood and attended school in Brownwood until her junior year when she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, for the remainder of high school. Ms. Lara worked in the medical field before joining All Aboard in 2017.

Maria works tirelessly in her role as Transportation Director. She wears many hats as she supervises bus drivers and fleet mechanics, coordinates neighborhood bus routes, answers phone calls, and even steps in to drive buses when the need arises. She is dedicated, professional, loyal, and always has a smile on her face.

Brownwood ISD is fortunate to have such a committed and enthusiastic individual to work with our students and staff.
