New tetherball poles, constructed by the shop class at Brownwood High School, were recently installed at Brownwood Intermediate School.

Brownwood High School shop teacher, Cody Smith, and his students collaborated with the Brownwood Intermediate School Physical Education Department to help provide 5th and 6th grade students with two new tetherball poles on the field. The high school shop students dug the holes, set the poles with concrete, and welded parts on top of the poles to make the poles functional.

According to school officials, teachers and students at Brownwood Intermediate School appreciate the new addition to the field because it adds more activities for students to enjoy.

An article posted on the Brownwood Intermediate School website delivered a thank you to Smith, “…and the BHS shop class for their time and hard work to make our school a better place.”
