Students put their keyboarding skills to the test at the Brownwood Intermediate School’s 5th Grade Keyboarding Contest on April 11, 2012. 5th grade students practiced their keyboarding skills all year for the chance to win an iPad2, the first place prize.
Winning the iPad 2 with 98% accuracy and 49 words per minute, first place went to Loressa Guerrero from the High Five group. Taylor Moore, also from the High Five group, came in second with 98% accuracy and 35 words per minute and won an iPod Shuffle with a $15.00 iTunes gift card. Scoring 98% accuracy and 30 words per minute, the third place prize of an iPod Shuffle went to Piper Barberie of the Brainy Bunch group.
