Billy Joe Aaron, 69, of Brownwood passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at a local nursing home.
Billy was born Oct. 28, 1943, in Santa Anna, to Owen and Vera Aaron. He was a lifelong member of the Brownwood Evangelism Center and was instrumental in establishing the Life Line for a Lifetime Ministry, and was also very active with substance abuse counseling for those with addictions.
Billy is survived by his wife, Anita Aaron of Brownwood; two daughters, Andrea Essary and husband Dennis of Brownwood, Rhonda Moody and husband Todd of Brownwood; a son, Tony Aaron and wife Jennifer of Early; four grandchildren, Ethan Essary, Haven Aaron, Brenna Gist and Aaron Moody; brother, Don Aaron of Germany; brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Shirley Petty of Clarendon; and uncle, O.C. Aaron. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and Richard Fuentes, adopted by Spirit and Loved as a son.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Owen Washington Aaron Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at the Brownwood Evangelism Center, with Pastor Kenneth Colegrove officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
