A graveside funeral service with military honors for Billy Bob Story, age 89, of Cedar Creek, formerly of Brownwood, will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Billy Bob Story was born on April 27, 1926 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Robert and Lena Mae Story. He married Jodie E. Scales, Feb. 8, 1968 in Brownwood.
Billy served our Country during WWII in the United States Army and followed with a Tour in the United States Marine Corp.
Billy was a Licensed Electrician, a Certified Welder and owned his own Pole Line Construction Company for many years. There was very little he couldn’t do, including master carpentry. He was also a talented artist.
He is survived by: his wife, Jodie Story of Cedar Creek, five daughters, Carolynn Anderson & husband Bill of Early, Ginger Tyson & husband Lloyd of Ft. Worth, Judy Walker-Hall & husband Dennis of Breckenridge, Jodie Gibson & husband Bryan of California, Patricia Scales & husband Mike of California; three sons, Terry Story and wife Patti of Cedar Creek, James Scales, Jr. of Florida, and Jerry Lee Story & wife Theresa of Cedar Creek; sixteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, one-great-great-grandchild & a host of nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, a wife, Alma Lynn Anderson Story and 10 brothers & sisters.
