Billie M. Ford, 92, was born September 17, 1923 and passed away August 15, 2016 at the Bangs Nursing Home. Funeral services are set for 10 am, Friday, August 19, 2016 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Tom Washburn officiating. Burial will follow in Bangs Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests from 6 pm until 8 pm, Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Billie was the daughter of Olin and Jewel Strange of Bangs, Texas. She grew up on the family farm west of Bangs and attended the Bangs schools. She married Clarence Ford on March 20, 1942 and they shared 70 years together before his passing in November 2012.
Survivors include a son, Royce and wife Susan Ford of Bangs, Texas; Gaynell and husband Leland Williams of Brookesmith, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Stephen Williams of Bentonville, Arkansas, Randy Williams and wife Sherry of Santa Fe, Texas, Kimberly Beaver and husband Ray of Round Rock, Texas, and Melissa Ford of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 5 great-grandchildren, Bailey, Jarret, and Avery Williams of Santa Fe, Texas, and Mason and Jaxon Beaver of Round Rock, Texas.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Ford; and a granddaughter, Angela Williams (1973).
She enjoyed being with family and friends and worked alongside Clarence on their farm and ranch between Trickham and Brookesmith after his discharge from the US Army Air Force. She was a member of the 4th Street Church of Christ in Brownwood.
Her last few years were comforted by very loving and compassionate caregivers that were appreciated by her family.
