Graveside funeral services for Leona “Billie” Loudermilk, age 99, of Wichita Falls, formerly of Brownwood, will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in Greenleaf Cemetery with Tom Washburn officiating under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
Mrs. Loudermilk died Monday, December 21, 2009 in Wichita Falls.
Billie was born June 19, 1910 in Mason County to Charley and Edna (Kothmann) Beasley. She attended Llano schools and a year of nursing school at Scott & White Hospital. In 1927 Billie moved to Brownwood. She married Earl Loudermilk on October 7, 1935 in Coleman. He died January 14, 1981. Together Billie and Earl owned and operated Loudermilk Dry Cleaners from 1940 until their retirement in 1973. In retirement, Billie volunteered for 20 years with the Brownwood Regional Hospital Auxiliary. She was a longtime member of the Austin Avenue Church of Christ before moving to Wichita Falls in 2002 where she joined Faith Village Church of Christ.
Billie is survived by two daughters, Patricia Walthier and Dolores Barnes, both of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters, Althea Nelson and Nello Clinger.
