Graveside Services for Billie Jean Franklin, age 84, of Brownwood will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2015, at Greenleaf Cemetery with Ruben Packer officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 3-5 at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Billie went to be with the Lord Friday, June 19, 2015.
Billie was born on November 28, 1930, in Francis, Oklahoma. She married, Fred Franklin, in 1952; he preceded her in death on May 5, 2011. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Billie loved to read.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Diane Van Huss and husband Kenneth of Brownwood; sons, Glynn Franklin of Brownwood and Lynn Franklin and wife Tracy of Brownwood; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by other family members and a host of friends.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Franklin; son, Gary Franklin; and parents.
