haningBillie Haning left this earth to see our Heavenly Father who was greeting her with open arms on Saturday, November 9, 2013.

She was born on April 7, 1938 in Dallas, Texas. She was not only a wife, mother, sister, granny and friend; she was a former teacher’s assistant and a waitress, but mostly a full time mother and wife. Fishing was her favorite pastime through the years. She touched many people’s lives, young and old. Billie was part of the North Lake Community Church family, a member and past Madam President of the Eagles Lodge, Odessa, TX and last, but most certainly not least, a member of the TURTLE club.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Donald Haning of Lake Brownwood, oldest child Myrna McGough and husband Mike of Cisco, middle son, Bruce Schwartz and his wife Kristi of Lubbock, and youngest son Kevin Schwartz and girlfriend Kasi Miller of Abilene; her step-daughters Cindy Harman and Donna Skiles of Cleburne who she loved as her own, and her sister Betty Luersen Jones of Blanco. She has been blessed with 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was known as “Granny Billie” by countless others. She was preceded in death by her mom, Nora Alma Betty Sawey, her dad, Willie Earl Luersen, a sister Mary Osbournsam and her brother, David Luersen.

Services will be held Wednesday, November 13th at 2 PM at Heartland Funeral Home at 303 Early Blvd in Early, TX
