Graveside services for Billie A. Stanley, 57, of Whitney, formerly of Brownwood , will be held at 10 am on Friday, March 8, in Jenkins Springs Cemetery with Pastor Keith Riech officiating. Interment will follow, under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home. No visitation has been set.
Ms. Stanley passed away on Tuesday, March 05, 2013, at a healthcare facility in Waco .
Billie Alice Day was born on May 26, 1955, in Brownwood Texas to William J. Day and Mary Agnes Wilks Day. Throughout her life Billie had worked in construction, farming and ranching and the healthcare industry as a caregiver for the disabled and elderly. She was a member of the Avenue D Baptist Church and had lived in Whitney since 1996, moving there from Brownwood .
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children; Mary Ellen Burton and husband David, of Evant, Billie Jo Schiel and husband David, of Chappell Hill, Cody W. Stanley and wife Audra, of Killeen and Chad L. Stanley and wife Jessika, of Cyprus; brother, George A. Day of Brownwood and grandchildren; Madison, Neelie and Wyatt Schiel, Emiliegh Burton, and Jennifer and Jessie Stanley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Day; brothers, James Day, Tommy Joe Day, Billy F. Day; one sister, Louise Irwin, and her longtime companion, Edward Berry.
