Brownwood ISD celebrated “Pink Out” day Friday at campuses and the football game as a way to raise money for families in the district who are battling cancer.
Big Country Ford of Brownwood also helped the cause by donating $5000 to the district’s “Pink Out” fund. Big Country Ford initially was expected to donate $2500, but owner of the company Diane Winn decided to double the donation at the last minute.
A check was presented to BISD Superintendent Reece Blincoe at Friday night’s Brownwood vs. Burnet football game.
The school district has been selling pink “Leaping for a Cure” t-shirts to help raise money for the fund as well.
