Big Brothers Big Sisters is getting ready for their annual Wheels and Deals fundraiser to be held at 6:00pm on November 17th at the Mabee Center at Howard Payne University. All proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters.
This year’s event will feature a reverse auction where the grand prize winner, with the last ticket drawn, will have their choice of a 2012 Dodge Journey, 2012 Ford F150 Extended Cab Pickup, or a 2012 Camry.
Tickets to enter the drawing may be purchased at Big Country Ford, Bruner Auto Group, Stanley Dodge, Brownwood Chamber of Commerce, Early Chamber of Commerce, Office of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Brown County, Brownwood Music, Underwood’s Cafeteria, Citizens National Bank, Mills County State Bank, and Texas Bank (downtown location) Big Brothers Big Sisters Board Members, or call 325.643.5600.
Tickets are $100 and must be purchased prior to the event. Ticketholders and their guests will be served a meal, be entertainment by Crawfish (pictured left) and the ticketholder will be entered into the drawing. There will also be many consolation prizes given. No more than 750 tickets will be sold and participants need not be present to win; however the event is always highly attended and enjoyed.
Although a ticket may have been drawn, the ticketholder will have a few chances to get back into the game. The last 10 ticketholders in the drawing have a chance to walk away with a little something, as they may auction off their ticket. Ticket holder must be present to auction ticket and has the option to choose not to accept auction bid. If ticketholder does choose to accept auction bid they can keep 90% of bid price with 10% going to the charity.
After the 13th ticket is drawn, a “Lucky 13th” ticket will be auctioned off. The winner of the bid will have the “Lucky 13th” ticket entered back into the drawing. Participants must be present to bid on the “Lucky 13th” ticket and must be a ticketholder to bid on the “Lucky 13th” ticket (but may have been drawn out prior to auction).
