Brownwood High School will be hosting a Financial Aid Presentation on Thursday, January 7, at 6:00pm in Media Room #230 for all high school seniors and their parents. The presentation will be made by Glenda Huff, Director of Financial Aid for Howard Payne University. Mrs. Huff is an expert in the field of financial aid, and has 30 years experience in student financial aid. Topics to be covered in the presentation are: the financial aid process, how to apply for aid, how to complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), federal grants, loans, and work-study programs. Financial aid is available for all types of higher education including community colleges, trade schools, and universities.
According to Brownwood High School counselors, important materials including the FASFA worksheets will be provided at the presentation.
BHS counselors recognize that the financial aid process can be intimidating, and that is why they encourage all seniors and their parents to attend.
