Four students at Brownwood High School were surprised with a reception event to honor their induction as members of the Future Educators Association Honor Society on Friday, March 27th.
The FEA Honor Society is a distinction that recognizes the academic accomplishments of FEA’s highest achieving members, and to qualify, students must have a 3.5 or higher GPA.Katherine Bautista, Delaney Bennett, Nathan Lacy, and Cody Richardson were joined by family and friends as they accepted certificates and a small gift presented by Family Consumer Science teacher, Mitzi Cockerham. Each student received a different Little Golden Book story that Cockerham said reminded her of them individually.
“We have 4 students that are a part of our Ready Set Teach program that have met the requirements to be a member of this honor society,” said Cockerham. “The students that we are honoring today have put in hard work and dedication towards their studies here at Brownwood High.”
