Eight BHS choir students competed in the Region Audition at Burleson High School on Saturday, October 13th. This audition has two components: singing parts of three pieces of prescribed music that they have learned and sight-reading a short excerpt that they have never seen before.

Each student sings and sight-reads for 5 judges and are ranked against other singers in their section.

“We are so proud to announce that all eight who competed made either the Region or District Choir,” said BHS Choir Director, Patricia Garrett. “This is the highest honor that they could receive. The students will perform in a concert on November 17th at Weatherford High School with the region’s best singers.”

Brownwood High School students that made Region Choir are Kalin Young, Trey Fawcett, and Albert Nyguen, and students that made District Choir are Meredith Underwood, Emily Dick, Aaron Pulley, Kolton Robertson and Cade Patteson.

In addition, Trey Fawcett and Albert Nyguen will advance to the next round of auditions in this all-state process.
