Brownwood High School’s floral design class recently got a chance to work as a florist, designing mums and flowers for the 2012 Brownwood High School Homecoming last week.
According to their teacher Mitzi Cockerham, the class made mums for a fundraiser as well as the floral arrangement for the homecoming queen at the crowning during Friday’s football game against Sweetwater.
The students made the mums from start to finish for a grade in the Principles of Floral Design class at Brownwood High School. Proceeds from the fundraiser benefited the Brown County based organization Hope from the Heart which helps cancer patients from the local area with expenses associated with treatment of the disease.
