Brownwood News – Brownwood High School’s Project Graduation announced the winner of their raffled Ford Fiesta. John Gordon, of May, is now the owner of a brand new Fiesta courtesy of Big Country Ford, who worked with Project Graduation on the fundraiser. Almost $12,000 has been raised by the car raffle and merchandise sales, which included the sale of Battle of 377 shirts this past fall.

 

 

Project Graduation will continue its fundraising efforts with a Bingo night at Grand Starz Bingo Hall on February 1st. The evening is non-smoking and starts at 6 p.m. with calling beginning at 7 p.m, players can participate for as little as $6.

Later in the month of February, Project Graduation will host a Bowling for Graduation night at Rex’s Texas Lanes on the 24th. Team donation goals have been set, and individual bowlers can help a team with their goal by taking part. Businesses can also sponsor a lane for the night as part of the fundraiser.

Project Graduation offers  Seniors a way to celebrate their high school graduation in a safe, fun, entertaining atmosphere. Around 195 students will graduate from Brownwood High School this year, and each is encouraged to bring a junior guest for part of the evening.

That puts the number of expected participants close to 350 students, who will all compete for prizes and enjoy the event. Donations can be made by emailing Celeste Church at lionsprojectgraduation2018@gmail.com. All donations are tax deductible and will go towards funding the event.
