The Brownwood High School Drama Department has been working hard on their upcoming production of Charlotte’s Web.
Charlotte’s Web is an award-winning children’s novel by acclaimed American author E. B. White, about a pig named Wilbur who is saved from being slaughtered by an intelligent spider named Charlotte. The students in the play do a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life including all of the favorites such as Wilbur, Mr. Zuckerman, Templeton the Rat, Charlotte, and all of the barnyard characters in great costumes.
One interesting component of play is that the prerecorded music featured during the production is original compositions produced by the students. The music was created with a computer program that the students use on their laptop computers provided by the school district through their 1 to 1 initiative.
The play will run for several days next week at Brownwood High School’s Dorothy McIntosh Fine Arts Center as follows:
- Monday November 2nd – 7:30pm
- Thursday November 5th – 7:30pm
- Saturday November 7th – 7:30pm
- Sunday November 8th – 2:30pm
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
The High School’s production of Charlotte’s Web is fun for the whole family. Enjoy photos below from the play during the student’s dress rehearsal Thursday night.
