The Brownwood High School (BHS) Mighty Maroon Lion Marching Band competed at the Heart of Texas Marching Band Contest at Early High School on Saturday, October 15th. The band earned a First Division rating from each of the judges.
The band also won “Best 4-A Band” at the contest.
Contest judges praised the band with positive comments. Jason Jones, Burnet High School Band Director stated, “Very nice marching drill and music – Good Luck!”
“Very strong band. Solid marching and playing. Congrats,” commented retired band director, Tom Burns.
“Great show,” noted Tarleton State Band Director, Gary Westbrook.
“Congratulations to the Lion Band for an outstanding job,” said BHS Band Director, David Lambert.The Mighty Maroon Lion Marching Band will compete at the UIL Region 7 Marching Contest at Early High School on Saturday, October 22 at 3:45 p.m.
Lambert added, “Please come out and support your hometown band.”
