The annual Brownwood High School Horticulture Department plant sale will be held Friday, April 13th, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the BHS greenhouse. BHS students have propagated and planted all plants that will be sold.
“The greenhouse is a learning center for the students. It allows us to apply hands on experience to reinforce what is taught in the classroom,” said BHS Agriculture Science teacher, Mitzi Cockerham. “We introduce students to different ways of growing and propagating plants and the importance of the environment in the greenhouse.”
BHS students, Roberto Flores,Angel Trevino, Zac Coppic, Mitch Stephens, and Raven Caine maintained the plants in the greenhouse and continue to prepare them for the sale.
