Brownwood High School Lady Lions Golf Team participated in the second round of the 5-3A District Tournament at Big Spring Country Club on Monday.
BHS Golf Coach Laura Martin was encouraged by one player’s score and is hopeful to have a regional contestant if Macie Maxfield plays well during the home round.
“Macie is three strokes out. A good round at home on Monday could give her a medalist spot for regionals,” stated Coach Martin. “Top two teams advance and top two individuals not on an advancing team.”
Currently, Maxfield is in sixth place with a total of 176. The BHS varsity team is in fifth place.
