Brownwood High School Cross Country Teams officially wrapped up their season this weekend after participating in the state meet in Round Rock on Saturday.
Brownwood Lion Dylan Person placed 28th in the 3A state meet with a time of 17:18.21. He qualified for the state meet after a 5th place finish last week in the regional meet in Lubbock.
The Brownwood Lady Lions Cross Country Team finished 10th as a team in the state competition Saturday. The team was led by Tori Burkett with a time of 12:14.15 followed by Jessica Romero, Julianne Hood, Ashley Strong, Alex Bernal, Victoria Hood, and Micaela Lombrano.
College Station secured 1st place in the meet followed by Decatur and Liberty Hill.
This was the second year in a row for Person to participate in the state meet individually and for the Lady Lions as a team.
