Parents and Friends of the Brownwood High School Class of 2014 are rallying around a classmate and his family after having suffered great loss this year with a fundraiser dinner on Friday, June 20th.
Mackey Gibson and his brother Grayson lost their father James Gibson during Spring Break and now their mother June Gibson passed away this past Sunday. The Gibsons have five sons; however Mackey just graduated from BHS this year and his younger brother is still attending BISD.
In an effort to help the Gibson family, friends have joined forces to do a brisket fundraiser of lunch and dinner on Friday, June 20th at Wal-Mart. Meals of brisket, sausage, potato salad, beans, pickles, onions, bread and tea will be offered for $10 and will be served from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and again at 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
