Brownwood News – A group of BHS Choir students recently performed in the All Region Choir Concert at the Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts.
“They worked long and hard hours last weekend rehearsing for two days and ending with the All Region Choir concert,” said BHS Choir Director, Jennifer Reeves. “These students have been working hard since the beginning of school on music and sight reading for the auditions that gave them a place in the All Region Honor Choir.”

The students also moved on to Pre-Area auditions in Mineral Wells. The following eight students made it past Pre-Area and qualified for Area auditions in January in Waco: Seth Adkins, Jonathan Woods, Alex Minchey, James Williams, Claire Clayton, Torie Lepp, Carlee Richardson and Kate Yantis.
“The intensity and difficulty of the competition continues to increase.,” noted Reeves. “But these students will continue to work hard on music and sight reading for the Area auditions. Students who make it past the Area auditions will earn a coveted spot in the All State Choir. This is the ultimate goal and culmination of working so hard and advancing through three previous auditions since the beginning of the school year.”
