On May 31, 2010, thirty-one Brownwood High School Band Students travelled to Pflugerville, TX for State Solo & Ensemble Competition. Students receiving a Superior rating were:
- Euphonium Soloist – Jonathan Cox – Gold Medal
- Flute Choir – Shayla Biessener, Raylene Camp, Ronnie Evans, Paula Mattix, Natalie Mayo, Karissa Means, Erika Villarreal – Bronze Medal
- Euphonium Ensemble – Johnathan Cox, Peyton Williams, and Wes Bryant – Bronze Medal
