Reports released for the week of October 31st through November 6th from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 19 medical emergencies, 1 motor vehicle accidents, 8 fire calls, and 2 hazardous materials calls.

Sunday, October 31
*8:31am-BFD was called to a fire in the 1600 block of Shaw Drive. The incident was determined to be a false alarm due to smoke in residence after starting the heater.
*1:06pm-BFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Vine Street.
Monday, November 1
*1:05pm-BFD responded to a grass fire at 2100 Slayden. Firefighters arrived to find where a small grass fire next to the road had been. Fire was out upon arrival.
Tuesday, November 2
*3:58pm-BFD reported to a hazardous material call. Carbon detector was activating. After investigation, nothing was found.
Wednesday, November 3
*2:47pm-BFD responded to a Brush/grass fire in the 4300 block of CR 557. BFD firefighters assisted Lake VFDs with control of grass fire.
*3:30pm-BFD was dispatched to a fire in the 600 block of Oak Park Drive. Power lines in trees caused a grass fire behind a residence. Fire was extinguished by fire personnel.
*4:32pm-BFD was called to a fire in the 600 block of Avenue C. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke from two storage buildings burning in the back yard of a residence. Fire personnel extinguished the fire and salvaged personal belongings from a storage building.
Friday, November 5
*2:53pm-BFD responded to a hazardous materials call in the 300 block of W. Commerce. Firefighters arrived to find a vehicle with a gasoline leak. Absorball was used to contain the leak and microblaze to clean spill. The vehicle was towed.
*4:47pm-BFD was called to a fire at Camp Bowie, 5600 block of FM 45. Approximately 50 acres burned starting at the shooting range. Brookesmith & Early VFDs assisted with the fire.
Saturday, November 6
*5:30pm-BFD was called to the 1000 block of Brinn Street where they arrived to find a grass fire that was threatening two structures. The fire was knocked out and all units cleared.
*6:04pm-BFD responded to a call of a vehicle fire in the 3000 block of Milam Drive. No fire was showing upon arrival. The vehicle was towed.
