Reports released for the week of September 4-10 from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 19 medical emergencies, 3 motor vehicle accidents, 5 fire calls, 2 false alarms, and 1 haz-mat call.
Wednesday, September 7
*1:50pm – BFD responded to a fire call at FM 586/1176. Arrived on scene with VFD’s to a 8 acre grass fire. Fire progression was stopped and fire crews cleared the scene and reported to another grass fire.
*2:19pm – BFD was dispatched a fire at 1280 CR 135. Arrived on scene with VFD’s to a grass fire threatening several structures. Fire progression was stopped and fire crews cleared the scene.
*4:04pm – BFD responded to a dumpster fire at 2611 Elizabeth. Extinguished by Fire Crews.
*5:18pm – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident on County Road 237 involving a single vehicle. First Aid provided.
Thursday, September 8
*10:59am – BFD responded to a grass fire on US Hwy 67. Arrived on scene with Bangs VFD & Forestry Truck to a small grass fire. Extinguishment by fire personnel.
Saturday, September 10
*11:16am – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at Main / Depot involving 2 vehicles with no injuries.
*3:09pm – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at 1219 Fisk Ave involving a single vehicle. Checked for injuries and provide first aid.
*4:55pm – BFD responded to a grass fire at 1800 Slayden. A small grass fire was started by kids playing with matches. Fire out upon arrival.
