Reports released for the week of September 19th through September 25th, 2010 from Brownwood Fire Department indicate response to 23 medical emergencies, 2 motor vehicle accidents, and 3 fire calls (1 smell of smoke and 2 outside fires).

Sunday, September 19
*3:06am-BFD arrived on scene to find a dishwasher smoking. After investigation with thermal camera, no hazard was found. Breaker to dishwasher was turned off until an electrician could determine the cause.
*8:55pm-BFD responded to an outside fire on Brady and 6th Street. Units arrived to find a group of people sitting around a large fire in the front yard. Flames were beginning to make contact with the trees. Residents were informed of city burning codes and were asked to extinguish the fire. Residents complied. Once fire was out all units cleared the scene.
Monday, September 20
*9:48pm-BFD was called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on W. US Hwy 67. Units arrived to find that a vehicle had struck a cow that was on the highway. No injuries were reported.
Tuesday, September 21
*11:06am-BFD responded to a two car motor vehicle accident involving injuries at 9th Street and Avenue E. 1 patient was transported by Guardian EMS.
*5:23pm-BFD was called to an outside fire in the 3300 block of Milam Drive. On arrival a small pile of boxes was found to be smoldering. An employee had extinguished the fire. Firefighters put out hot spots and cleaned up the area.
Wednesday, September 22
*5:57pm-A power line was reported to be down in the 1200 block of 3rd Street. BFD arrived on scene to find two wires on the ground. They blocked the roadway to secure the scene until Oncor could arrive and cut the line.
