Reports released for the week of September 11-17 from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 17 medical emergencies, 5 motor vehicle accidents, 2 fire calls, 1 false alarm, and 2 lock in calls.
Monday, September 12
*7:39am – BFD Responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of Coggin Avenue and Vincent.
*1:20pm – BFD rescue crew unlocked a vehicle in the 1200 block of Austin Ave. There were small children locked inside.
*10:30pm – BFD fire fighters were called to a residence in the 1600 block of Southgate regarding a carbon monoxide alarm. Elevated carbon monoxide levels were detected throughout the house. Fire fighters advised residents to seek alternate shelter until a professional could repair leak.
*12:28pm – BFD was dispatched to a grass fire in the 1900 block of Belle Plain. Fire fighters arrived on scene to find a small fire around a BBQ pit that was out upon their arrival. Firefighters assisted the home owner with mop up.
Tuesday, September 13
*5:22pm – BFD was called to a two vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of Avenue K and Austin Avenue.
*6:00pm – BFD rescue crew unlocked a vehicle in the 300 block of Bluffview where a child was locked inside.
Thursday, September 15
*4:50pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries on FM 45. Two patients were transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
*7:44pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident in the 600 block of W. Commerce Street. Two patients were transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Friday, September 16
*12:11am – BFD investigated a report of arcing in the 2700 block of Elizabeth. Nothing was found
*3:21pm – BFD responded to an RV Fire in the 8900 block of CR 225 Arrived on scene to find a motor home on fire. The fire was knocked down.
Saturday, September 17
*2:19pm – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Fisk and Wilson. Fire fighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.
*3:46pm – BFD was called to investigate arcing in the 1800 block of Dallas. Fire crews provided a safe area until Oncor arrived.
*11:14pm – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at 3rd Street and Avenue C. A vehicle struck a utility pole and the driver was not on scene. Oncor was notified.
