Reports released for the week of July 31st through August 6th from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 24 medical emergencies, 1 motor vehicle accidents, 4 fire calls, 3 possible gas leaks, 1 hazardous materials call, and one false alarm.

Sunday, July 31
*9:53am – BFD investigated the smell of gas at the area of Main and Walnut. Crews found nothing.
Monday, August 1
*7:32pm – BFD investigated the smell of gas in the 700 block of 3rd Street. Nothing was found.
Tuesday, August 2
*3:40pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries in the 1100 block of Austin.
*4:40pm – BFD was called to a brush fire in the area of County Road 321 and CR 325. Crews arrived on the scene of a 15 acre grass fire where they assisted Early & Blanket Volunteer Fire Departments with extinguishment of the fire.
Thursday, August 4
*7:08am – BFD was dispatched to investigate a fire which in the 1600 block of 11th Street. The fire was out upon arrival.
*1:37pm – BFD was called to investigate smoke in the area of FM 3254. Nothing was found.
*10:55pm – BFD was dispatched to the 800 block of FM 3254 to investigate smell of gas. Nothing was found.
Friday, August 5
*2:04pm – BFD responded to a vehicle fire in the 800 block of N Main Street. A fire was in the engine compartment of vehicle and was quickly extinguished by using redline.
Saturday, August 6
* 4:21pm – BFD responded to a false alarm at 101 Center Avenue, due to an alarm activation.
