Reports released for the week of July 24th through July 30th from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 27 medical emergencies, 3 motor vehicle accidents, 4 fire calls, 1 possible gas leak, and one false alarm.

Sunday, July 24
*11:41am – BFD was called to investigate a smoke scare.
*5:10pm – BFD responded to a grass fire in the 7400 block of CR 258. Fire crews extinguished a small grass fire. Zephyr & Early VFD were on scene to assist.
Tuesday, July 26
*12:36pm – BFD were dispatched to a fire call in the 17000 block of County Road 214. Fire fighters arrived on scene with Brookesmith and Winchell VFDs to find a barn burning. Fire fighters extinguished fire.
*12:49pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries in the 100 block of Early Blvd. Fire fighters checked for injuries and provided first aid. One patient was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
*2:43pm – BFD was called to a two vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of Belle Plain / Commerce.
Wednesday, July 27
*3:59pm – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1200 block of Coggin Avenue. Fire fighters arrived on scene to find a small office fire. Fire control and extinguishment was performed by firefighters.
Thursday, July 28
*9:02am – BFD was dispatched to a good intent call in the 2400 block of Durham Avenue where they respond to the smell of gas in the area. The utility company was notified.
*4:21pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Avenue A Brady Avenue. A police officer was involved in accident. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid. One patient loaded and transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
