Reports released for the week of June 26th through July 2nd from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 14 medical emergencies, 4 motor vehicle accidents, 5 fire calls, and 1 lock out.

Monday, June 27
*8:39am – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident in the 900 block of Early Blvd. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.
*2:39pm – BFD was dispatched to an overheated motor.
Tuesday, June 28
*12:25am – BFD was called to a fire in the 10000 block of N US 183 which was a rekindle of a previous grass fire. Firefighters extinguished fire and completed mop up.
*8:00am – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Austin Avenue & Main Street which involved 3 vehicles.
Wednesday, June 29
*2:13am – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 100 block of Riverside Drive. An alarm was sounding in a hotel room. Nothing was showing and firefighters restored the alarm.
*9:16am – BFD was called to a grass fire and cancelled en route.
*9:15pm – BFD was dispatched to an outside fire in the 1000 block of Santa Clara. Firefighters investigated an open pit fire, advised occupants of city burn codes and extinguished fire.
Thursday, June 30
*1:31pm – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident on County Road 327. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.
Friday, July 1
*5:54pm – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at FM 218 & US 183. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.
Saturday, July 2
*12:08pm – BFD responded to a call of 2 children locked in a running car. Firefighters unlocked the car.
